Canon's new SELPHY DS700 Compact Photo Printer [review] expands the possibilities of digital imaging by allowing consumers to both view and print their pictures using the biggest screen in the house - the television.





The new Canon Selphy DS700 Compact Photo Printer allows users to display photos directly on the TV screen and easily select images to print via a remote control.

Canon designed the photo print mode to duplicate the easy user interface of its popular Easy-PhotoPrint software. The SELPHY DS700 Compact Photo Printer features media card slots, which are compatible with a wide range of digital media, including Compact Flash, Microdrive, Smart Media, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, SD Card and Multimedia Card. Additional media cards, which can be used with an adapter (sold separately), include xD-Picture Card, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick Duo Pro, miniSD Card.

In addition to printing in the living room using the TV and included remote, photos can be printed on the SELPHY DS700 Compact Photo Printer direct from camera-equipped mobile phones wirelessly through infrared transmission (IrDA) as well as PC printing with a USB connection.
