Microsoft Releases Patch for WinXP SP2

Patch for a patch...





The patch addresses a well-known problem with computers running Windows XP SP2 and Virtual Private Networks. As Microsoft puts it, "programs that connect to IP addresses in the loopback address range may not work as expected and you may receive an error message indicating you cannot establish a connection."

So, if you are one of those 80 million lucky guys who’ve already downloaded the long-awaited piece of software, you should go here and download a patch, which, hopefully, fixes the problem.
