Sharp Actius MP30 With InterVideo InstantON Technology
InterVideo announced that its innovative InstantON technology is now shipping on the new Sharp Mebius MURAMASA PC-MP series, PC-MP70G and PC-MP50G notebooks and the Sharp Actius MP30, the technology branded as "INSTANT PLAY." InterVideo and Sharp Electronics have partnered together to offer consumers a light and compact notebook with great entertainment features. The new Sharp notebooks are the first business notebooks to bundle with InterVideo InstantON™ technology.
With the integration of InterVideo InstantON technology with Sharp Mebius MURAMASA PC-MP70G and PC-MP50G and the Sharp Actius MP30, consumers have a mobile entertainment machine combined with all the features of a business notebook. InterVideo's innovative InstantON technology allows users to enjoy watching DVD/VCDs and listening to music without having to wait for Windows® to load on their notebooks.
After a quick boot-up into INSTANT PLAY, all of the consumer electronic features immediately come to life. With a click of a button, viewers can watch VCD/DVDs with superior clarity or they can listen to music with crisp clear sound based on WinDVD, InterVideo's award-winning DVD playback software with over 100 million installations worldwide. An additional feature with "INSTANT PLAY" is the ability to operate video playback and adjust music audio with a remote control.
Available in Japan, the Sharp Mebius MURAMASA PC-MP series weigh only 1.26 kg for the PC-MP50G and 1.28 kg for the PC-MP70G. The Transmeta Efficeon 8800 1.6 GHz CPU powers these ultra-portable notebooks and delivers both fast speed and extended battery life. The remarkable battery drive can be used up to 5 hours and can standby by for 12 days. Included in these notebooks are Microsoft Windows® XP OS, 256MB of memory storage, 60GB HDD for PV-MP70G and 40GB HDD for the PC-MP50G, a 1024x768 (XGA) resolution LCD, the crystal liquid screen providing viewers with smooth playback along with "INSTANT PLAY." Additionally, it is wirelessly connected through IEEE802.11b/g wireless LAN, and uses wireless data exchange. Available in the United States, the Actius MP30 weighs just 2.8 pounds and features 512MB memory and a 40GB HDD.
