Samsung Launches The World's Most Stylish 'Supermodel' Notebooks: X10Plus, X15Plus, X30 and P35

Samsung Electronics, the global leader in digital convergence technology, today released its thin and stylish range of technically advanced notebooks onto the Australian market. The lightweight notebooks are the perfect mobile solution for busy and active lifestyles.

While Samsung is new to the Australian notebook market, it is definitely not new to the notebook category. It was Samsung that Intel chose as its validation partner to pioneer Centrino Mobile Technology back 2003. With more than $3 billion in research and development invested over the past year, many Australians will be excited to see what Samsung has installed in its feature packed notebooks.

The Samsung Notebooks are based on the revolutionary Intel Centrino platform, having the ground-breaking Intel® Pentium® M Processor. This powerful processor gives longer battery life and wireless networking for easy connection to office networks or public wireless hot spots.

"Samsung believes for a notebook to be truly mobile, it requires more than just stand out technological features," said Steve Trang, product Manager Samsung Notebooks. "It requires a stylish and compact design that demands to be shown off everywhere you go."

"Between the X Series and the P Series of Samsung Notebooks, our company has already won more than 70 major magazine awards for performance and style in 2004," Trang continued. "PC Professional magazine in Germany stated Samsung Notebook users had the highest satisfaction after buying their Notebooks than any other producer, beating stiff competition that included Dell, Sony, Toshiba, Hewlett Packard and IBM."

"The judging panel rated us first on looks and design, ease of use, thin-ness and light-ness as well as battery life and testing reviews. PC Professional magazine’s endorsement is not uncommon, and is repeated wherever we release our Notebooks around the world." Heading the charge is the Samsung X10Plus, one of the World’s thinnest and lightest 2 spindle Notebook on 14.1 Screen. In addition the X10 Series breaks new ground in portability for a notebook equipped with a DVD Combo Drive, at under 30mm and 1.86kg in weight, the Samsung X10 Series really is the ultimate mobile business tool. While the X10Plus is a pure marvel of technology combining digital convergence ports the Samsung X30 is designed to take a user’s mobile computing experience to the next level.

A true product of the convergence era, the Samsung X30 comes with a 15.4" wide LCD screen, allowing you to work with multiple documents side by side or run the latest 3D applications using the nVidia GeForceFX 5200Go graphics processor. As well as a long battery life the X30 includes an internal bridge battery, which allows the battery to be swapped with the notebook in standby and does not require a full shutdown. The featured packed X30 is only 23.9mm thick and weighs in at a tiny 2.4Kg.

All Samsung Notebooks feature 'Smart Invertor Control' function ensuring batteries re-charge in a fast two hours. The batteries offer up to 4.5 hours of life to ensure you will never be let down when it counts.
