The Gallup Organization Launches Free Daily Webcast
The Gallup Organization launched the "Gallup Poll Daily Briefing" webcast, an 8-minute streaming video news feature headlined by Gallup Poll Editor-in-Chief Dr. Frank Newport. Each day's program features three to four segments that highlight the firm's latest polling data on the election and other current events topics in an objective and bi-partisan manner.

The launch of the free "Gallup Poll Daily Briefing" coincides with Gallup's shift in brand strategy and transition into a stand-alone media organization as the rest of the Web site moves to a paid-content model. The Gallup Poll Tuesday Briefing, Gallup's award-winning premier weekly email publication, is part of the expanded premium content service now known as, "Gallup Poll on Demand." This service includes access to the proprietary "Gallup Brain" database, with its archive of over 60 years of survey data for $95 per year.

The Gallup Poll (www.gallup.com) has reported the standings and comparative strengths of U.S. presidential candidates on a continuous basis since the organization's founding in 1935. The record of accuracy achieved by Gallup in these "horse-race" or "head-to head" measurements is unsurpassed. In the 16 presidential elections since 1936, the deviation between Gallup's final pre-election survey figures and the actual election results is 2.2 percent and, since 1960, only 1.5 percent.
