Leadis Technology Announces Four 262k Color High Resolution TFT LCD Driver ICs

Leadis Technology announced sample availability of four 262k color high resolution Thin Film Transistor (TFT) LCD driver ICs, enabling very high quality screen performance with bright, rich, vivid color display images for next generation multimedia wireless handsets and megapixel camera phones.





The LDS27x is a family of 262k color Amorphous (a-Si) TFT LCD driver ICs with integrated controller products with very low power, highly integrated devices that include display RAM, on-chip oscillator, DC-DC converter and adjustable VCOM generator enabling fine tuning of the screen display for optimal performance.

The LDS3xx is a product family of 262k color Low Temperature Polysilicon (LTPS) TFT LCD driver ICs with integrated controller. The products are high-performance, low power devices that integrate on-chip DC-DC converter and adjustable VCOM generator supporting multiple high resolutions up to 320 (RGB) x 480.

The LDS27x color Amorphous (a-Si) TFT LCD and LDS3xx 262k color Low Temperature Polysilicon (LTPS) TFT LCD driver ICs with integrated controller product families are high-performance, low power devices offering the mobile handset industry state-of-the-art solutions for the increasing graphics and media requirements and demands for active display, high quality TFT and LTPS LCD display technologies. The LDS27x and LDS3xx product families are highly integrated, high-performance devices that include an on-chip DC-DC converter and an adjustable VCOM generator. These product families also integrate programmable display features, such as color depth selection, partial display mode, frame inversion and N-line inversion for low cross talk. In addition, both the LDS312 and LDS321 have selectable gamma correction support for optimized display performance.

The LDS312 supports multiple high resolutions such as QVGA: 240 (RGB) x 320, QCIF+: 176 (RGB) x 220 and 128 (RGB) x 160.

The LDS321 supports multiple high resolutions such as 320 (RGB) x 350, 320 (RGB) x 320, HVGA: 320 (RGB) x 480 and CIF: 288 (RGB) x 352.
