It seems that Korean Samsung is readying to unveil its new generation of flash-based media players called Samsung Yepp YP-P2. Equipped with a gorgeous 428x240 touchscreen display, this little beast will make a fierce competition to the upcoming Apple iPod also equipped with touchscreen.

The device, different sources are reporting, will sport up to 8 GB of built-in Flash memory; 3-inch, 428 x 240 pixel touch-screen display; MP3, WMV, WMA, and H.264 (MPEG4 AVC), MPEG-4 (ASF) support; Bluetooth connectivity; integrated speaker and microphone; and FM radio. All this glory will be packed in a case just 100 x 52 x 9.2-mm thin.

The Samsung Yepp YP-P2 will even have a virtual click-wheel allowing for a one thumb operation, so prepare to watch a long-play law suite between Samsung and Apple.

Price is yet to be announced.
