Motorola SLVR L9 ready to big time

During this year's 3GSM Congress in Barcelona, Motorola has presented its latest SLVR L9 slimphone. Standing on the SLVR L7 shoulders, the phone supports GSM connectivity with GRPS/EDGE class 10 data delivery and features even more personal entertainment options.





The device comes with a built-in FM radio with RDS (although, it's not clear who will want to listen to stupid FM stations when there is XM and Sirius with pocket receivers available) and support for MP3, AAC, AAC+, AAC+ enhanced, AMR, and WAV. The music gets transferred to Bluetooth headphones via A2DP protocol.

The new Motorola SLVR L9 sports quite an ordinary 2 megapixel digital camera with MPEG-4 video recording which can be saved on a microSD card. The device also features MegaSIM slot and a battery providing for about 400 minutes of talk time and 350 hours of stand by.

Motorola plans to start shipping the phone in the second quarter. No info on price yet.
