Toshiba Satellite U205-S5057 notebook comes with Windows Vista

The new Toshiba Satellite U205-S5057 laptop will be available next month with a nice choice of preinstalled software, including Windows Vista Home Premium operating system. The notebook features a 1280 x 800 widescreen display with TruBrite technology and a T5500 Intel Core 2 Duo CPU sporting a 1.66 GHz speed, 667 MHz system bus, and 2 MB L2 cache.





Other technical specifications are also quite impressive for the segment. The Satellite U205-S5057 will be available with a 160 GB HDD, 1 GB of installed RAM (expandable up to 4 GB), tri-mode 802.11a/b/g wireless connectivity, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 with up to 196 MB of shared video RAM, 5-in-1 memory card reader, and a double-layer SuperMulti DVD drive.

The notebook is powered by a Li-Ion battery (4700 mAh), which is capable to hold for a maximum of 4.5 hours. On-board connectivity includes 3 USB 2.0 ports , FireWire (also known as IEEE 1394 or i.Link) ,VGA monitor port, PCMCIA (or PC Card) slot (Type II, PCMCIA R2.01, PC Card16, CardBus,1 headphone jack and a microphone jack.

The set of software, as I've already mentioned, also looks really nice. The gadget comes with such pieces of software as Microsoft Works 8.5, Microsoft Office OneNote 2007, InterVideo WinDVD 8 SD and Creator 2 Platinum, Google Desktop and Toolbar, McAfee Internet Security Suite (with 30-day trial), and Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student Edition (60-day trial) and so on and so forth.

The new Toshiba Satellite U205-S5057 laptop will come to stores in February and will retail for $1,299.
