Samsung x830 to tackle iPod
Samsung is making the final preparations to start selling its latest x830 music phone set to compete against Sony Ericsson's 'Walkman' phone series and the growing family of the iPod music players.

The Samsung x830 phone is based on the popular 'rotate-to-open' design and features GSM connectivity. Being 85 x 29 x 20 mm large, it weighs 74 grams only and sports an average 128 x 220 pixels TFT screen, TechEBlog is reporting.

The phone supports all popular formats of music encoding, including the Ogg. The music can be transferred back and forth using either USB 2.0 or a Bluetooth adapter.

The also phone features a built-in 1.3-megapixel digital camera. Not exactly the camera one would expect from a modern handset but I could live with such miserable creature if the music quality is good. It'd better be.
