World's Smallest Projector from Sony
Sony has unveiled its new tiny
projector. You still can't put into your jeans' back pocket but it is compact enough to place it into a brief case or a handbag.
Reg Hardware
says that the new projector has been powered by a set of 14 LEDs that substitute one huge, expensive and power thirsty light bulb. Instead of a more common DLP technology,
Sony decided to use a set of good old, although somewhat tweaked,
LCD panels. The resulting image is not that bright as some might expect it from a modern projector unit, so
Sony has come up with a special screen that makes the picture a little bit brighter, although limiting its size to just 20 inches.
The projector features a maximum resolution of 800 x 600 pixels. There is not yet any info about its price, availability and specifications.
