For most of us it sounds just like wishful thinking, but guys at Logitech have created a device that may actually make it much easier to work with notebooks without that constant pain.

The Logitech Alto notebook stand is actually what it is called -- it is a slim and compact (9.33-by-16.84-by-1.41 inches) appliance that opens like a book and reveals a full-size keyboard and an integrated platform for your notebook. All you need to start working is to plug the USB cable and put your laptop on the platform, getting the notebook's screen right on the eye level. The company is saying that it takes about half a minute to set the whole thing up.

The Logitech Alto notebook stand will be available in Europe next month and will cross the Pond in January. Its suggested retail price in the U.S. is mere $99.99.
