Acer Debuts TravelMate 3000 Ultra-Portable Notebook
Built on Intel Centrino Mobile Technology, the Acer TravelMate 3000 delivers high performance and up to 4.5 hours of battery life in a three-pound notebook PC.

The Acer TravelMate 3000 sports up to an Intel Pentium M Processor 740 running on the Intel 915GM Express chipset and a 533MZz Front System Bus. The newest Acer notebook also features 512 MB of DDR II upgradeable to 2048MB. In addition to wireless 802.11b/g and Bluetooth support, the TravelMate 3000 offers 3 USB 2.0 ports, an IEEE 1394 port, 10/100/1000 LAN connection, and a 56K V.92 modem.
This one-spindled notebook incorporates up to a 60GB hard drive as well as a CDRW/DVD combo drive. TravelMate 3000 series notebooks offer a 4-in-1 PCMCIA Multimedia reader, built-in SmartCard Reader and a port replicator option.
