Acer Debuts TravelMate 3000 Ultra-Portable Notebook
Built on Intel Centrino Mobile Technology, the Acer TravelMate 3000 delivers high performance and up to 4.5 hours of battery life in a three-pound notebook PC.





Acer TravelMate 3000
The Acer TravelMate 3000 notebook features the PCI Express technology and Intel Centrino Mobile Technology. The TravelMate 3000 series also features a 12.1" WXGA color TFT LCD widescreen, with picture resolution of up to 1280 x 800 pixels and Intel 915GM integrated 3D graphics featuring an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 and up to 128MB dynamically allocated video memory.

The Acer TravelMate 3000 sports up to an Intel Pentium M Processor 740 running on the Intel 915GM Express chipset and a 533MZz Front System Bus. The newest Acer notebook also features 512 MB of DDR II upgradeable to 2048MB. In addition to wireless 802.11b/g and Bluetooth support, the TravelMate 3000 offers 3 USB 2.0 ports, an IEEE 1394 port, 10/100/1000 LAN connection, and a 56K V.92 modem.

This one-spindled notebook incorporates up to a 60GB hard drive as well as a CDRW/DVD combo drive. TravelMate 3000 series notebooks offer a 4-in-1 PCMCIA Multimedia reader, built-in SmartCard Reader and a port replicator option.
