Hop-on to Launch Its Model 1888 New Slider Phone

The model 1888 tri-band slider cell phone is available in black and silver. The model 1888 slider from Hop-on is a tri-band handset (900 / 180 / 1900 MHz) that features a color screen, Bluetooth wireless technology, a 1.3Mpx CMOS digital camera, and Video Streaming. SMS and MMS messaging are standard along with MP3 and MPEG 4.

The company plans to show the new model at the oncoming CES 2006 exhibition. Pricing is not available at the moment but Hop-on's CEO Dan Gannon says that the model 1888 will cost "approximately 30% less" then comparable devices from major vendors.
