KOffice 1.3.3 Available In Welsh

KOffice 1.3.3 in Welsh is a full-featured office suite for the Linux desktop, and will be available for free with most Linux distributions, including the next version of Cymrux, the Linux-in-Welsh CD.

The new Welsh interface means that Linux now has two office suites in Welsh, and demonstrates the increasing momentum behind the free software movement in Wales. You can check screenshots of the KOffice translation in Welsh on the Cymrux website.

KOffice includes the essential programs you would expect to see in an office suite:
KWord, a frame-based word-processing and desktop publishing program similar to FrameMaker;
KSpread, a spreadsheet with full support for complex formulae and statistics;
KPresenter, a presentation program with everything you need to make a good impression.

KOffice also includes some additional programs: Kivio, a flowcharting and diagramming program similar to Microsoft Visio;
Karbon, a graphics program similar to Adobe Illustrator, for creating images which look good at any size;
Kugar, a report generator similar to Crystal Reports, for presenting database information attractively in printed form.

And to round the suite off, there are a few little extras: KFormula, a powerful formula editor that will be great for maths and science homework; KThesaurus, to look up synonyms for common words in English; KChart, to produce good-looking charts from a range of figures.
