mPhase Technologies Passes Critical Test for Deployment of its TV Telco Set Top Box Under Russian Contract

mPhase Technologies, Inc. (OTC: XDSL) today announced that its flagship set top box for Telco TV deployments has passed a certification test necessary for use in Europe, including Russia.

The mPhase Model 400 Intelligent Network Interface (INI) Customer Premises Digital Set Top Box has passed certification testing by an independent laboratory to qualify for the industry-standard "CE" designation, a prerequisite for manufacturers and importers in the European market. The obligatory CE mark indicates compliance 'certification' according to requirements of approximately 22 European 'CE Marking Directives' and subsequent European standards.

In a previous 8-K filing, mPhase reported that Lucent Russia has selected its TV+ System to offer video and data services to a telecom services company for its Far East Region customers. The customer is one of seven regional mega-telecommunications operators in Russia owned by a single holding company. The initial pilot project completed through the Lucent sales channel is for 1,000 subscribers. The regional operator serves more than one million subscribers.
