Using 802.11 technologies, Panther Trak can be programmed to communicate with any Wi-Fi enabled device, allowing Panther Trak to transfer data to a base station wirelessly and, consequently, at virtually no incremental cost. When Wi-Fi is used as a communication method from a GPS mobile unit to a base station, data can be transmitted directly from the mobile unit to the Internet without incurring any cellular airtime charges.
