CallWave Provides Cell Phone Users an Easy Way to Reduce Exposure to Radio Waves

A recent study conducted by twelve research groups in seven European countries found that radio waves from mobile phones can harm human DNA in laboratory conditions, Reuters reported on Monday, December 20. CallWave's new cell phone application provides a convenient and easy solution for all cell phone users, regardless of their carrier or plan, to reduce exposure to cellular radio waves.

CallWave's Mobile Call Transfer(sm) feature lets subscribers make 'mid-call transfers' from their cell phone to a work or home phone by simply pressing '2' on their cell phone. That causes their landline phone to ring instantly, and they can then pick up and continue talking on the landline connection. Unlike "find me" features that rollover calls to a different phone based on static settings, CallWave's call-transfer feature provides spontaneous user control and works in mid-conversation.

CallWave's new VoIP application for cell phones was introduced on December 7, 2004 and includes two breakthrough features: Mobile Call Transfer(sm) and Mobile Call Screening(sm). The service is available for $3.95 a month at www.callwave.com/safety, and includes a 30-day risk free trial. CallWave works with all cell phones and all cell carriers, requires no hardware, and can be set up in about one minute.

With over 800,000 paying subscribers, CallWave has brought VoIP enabled call-handling innovations to mainstream consumers and small businesses since its founding in 1998. In 2004, CallWave had an initial public offering and also launched its VoIP application for cell phones.
