Kallisto Presents the First Interactive, Story-driven Game for Mobile Phones

Kallisto Productions, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of "Mystery At Work," a three-part interactive murder mystery/game for mobile phones. This is the world's first episodic, extended-play interactive story for mobile phones -- now available to Sprint's mobile phone customers.

Accused of murdering your boss, you play the role of Harrison, a recent hire in his first job after college. In this "Choose Your Path" adventure story, you elude the police and discover the real murderer. The story exposes the foibles and tribulations encountered by a twenty-something in their first real job.

Alan Weiler, president of Kallisto Productions, described the authoring tools Kallisto developed to generate this interactive story. "Using our authoring tools, an artist, not a programmer, can assemble an extended-play, interactive story. When the production is complete, our tool exports a ready-to-deploy Java midlet. The interactive story can be segmented into episodes that are downloaded from within the basic application. The tool set makes it possible to rapidly create versions for different handsets, and even different languages, without further programming."

Alan Weiler sees a large opportunity to adapt entertainment for the new "small screen." "Really, any genre can be adapted to the phone. We are actively seeking other studios and property owners that would like to develop this kind of entertainment for mobile phones."

Critical Mass Interactive oversaw script production and co-produced the game play. LoudLouderLoudest provided the sound track. OpenPath Products conducted the handset testing. "Mystery at Work" was produced by Kallisto Productions, Inc.
